Dr. Jeffrey Gruskay, known to all his patients as Dr. Jeff is second generation to Milford Pediatric Group, joining the practice in 1986. His father, Dr. Frank Gruskay co-founded the practice in 1960. After graduating from Amherst College, Magna Cum Laude in 1977, he attended Yale University School of Medicine. He did his Internship and Residency at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Jeff is board certified in both Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and is also certified to do Impact testing for concussion therapy.
Dr. Howard Sadinsky is a Connecticut native and attended Trinity College in Hartford, graduating in 1985. After a year of graduate school, he attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and received his DO degree in 1990. The DO degree differs slightly from a medical degree (MD) in that the Osteopathic education includes the study of manipulation of muscles and joints, as well as the study of a holistic philosophy of medicine.
Dr. Howard did both his internship and residency at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia finishing in June 1993. He then served as the solo pediatrician at the US Naval Hospital in Guantanamo Bay Cuba, and then Chief of Pediatrics at the Naval Hospital in Groton, Connecticut. He left the Navy after achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander and joined Milford Pediatric Group in September of 1996.
Dr. Howard has been an active member of the Devon Rotary since 2001. He served on the Board of Managers for the Woodruff YMCA and the Good Shepherd Daycare. He has served on the Connecticut Medical Examining Board, as well as being an active member of his synagogue Temple Beth Sholom.
Dr. Roberta Lockhart has been in practice since 1984. She joined Milford Pediatric Group over 20 years ago. She did her undergraduate studies at Youngstown State University and received her MD from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine where she also acted as a Peer Faculty Advisor, taught medical students and residents and was the Director of the Women in Medicine Program. Dr. Roberta did her Internship and Residency at Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Akron. Just recently, she became a faculty member at Quinnipiac University’s new medical school.
Dr. Harry Kipperman has been with Milford Pediatric Group almost 20 years. He attended Bucknell Universitfrom 1966-1970 for his undergraduate degree and then Downstate Medical College, State University of New York to receive his MD. Dr. Harry did his Internship and Residency at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He had a private practice for many years in Downeast, Maine where he also co-founded Friends of Special Children, a multi-disciplinary child development center. He was also founder of the Ellsworth Maine Child’s Protection Council and was a member of the Governors Select Committee on children’s health in Maine. After leaving Maine and before coming to Connecticut he served as a Professor of Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine and at the Schneider Children’s Hospital at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Long Island. In addition, Dr. Harry was co-director of the asthma center and director of the lead program at Schneiders.
Lisa graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a B.A. in Sociology. After graduation she worked as a research associate along side a pediatrician. Their research included vaccines, infectious diseases, and child development. Lisa attended Yale School of Nursing where she received her Master’s Degree in 1995. She started at Milford Pediatric Group in October of 1995 as the first mid-level practitioner to join the practice. Lisa has always worked with children in some form.
Jaime grew up in Milford and was previously a patient at Milford Pediatric Group. She graduated from Providence College in 2001 with a B.S. Degree in biology. She continued her education at Yale University School of Nursing where she graduated in 2004 with a Master’s degree in nursing and became a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Jaime is currently certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board
Danielle joined Milford Pediatrics Group in 2009 as a registered nurse doing telephone triage while attending Quinnipiac University to obtain her masters degree. She graduated in 2011 from Quinnipiac University with her Masters of Science in Nursing and is a board certified family nurse practitioner through the American Nurse credentialling center, which means she can treat patients older then 21 years of age. Danielle is also a certified lactation couselor. Danielle was married last year and has a beautiful baby boy.
Richard is a California native who attended The University of California in Santa Cruz, CA earning his Bachelors of Arts in Economics degree. Several years later Richard moved to Connecticut and attended Yale University and graduted with a Masters of Science degree in nursing in 1999. He joined Milford Pediatric Group in 2000. Richard is a board certified Nurse Practitioner.
Sarah is a board certified family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Pace University with a Masters Degree in Nursing in 1996. Sarah worked in a family practice for sixteen years. She joined Milford Pediatric group April 2013.
